Regal help for Camborne top end

Clive King joins Camborne Band on solo cornet as Cornish contenders welcome back percussion dad.

Following the appointment of their new principal cornet, Camborne Band has announced the signing of Clive King on front row cornet.

Very experienced

Musical Director Kevin Mackenzie told 4BR: "This is a great signing as Clive is a very experienced player. He now completes our front row ready for the forthcoming West of England Regional Championship in Torquay."

The band has also welcomed back Andrew Tellam to the percussion section. Andrew previously played with Camborne in the 1980s and 1990s.

Kevin Mackenzie added: "I'm really pleased the Andrew is back with us as he joins his son in the percussion section. I asked Andrew to help out for the National Finals last year which he really enjoyed so I'm pleased he accepted my offer to stay."
