Dobcross Youth Band has publicly thanked conductor Richard Windle on his appointment as the new Musical Director of Ireland Colliery Band and has thanked him for his work with the band over the past year.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Richard's contribution has been very important and we are now in a good position looking forward to the future. We now search for a new Musical Director and welcome any interest in the position."
