Cornwall Youth look to inspire new entrants

The Cornwall Youth Band will be looking to inspire the next intake of talent with an open rehearsal day later this month.

Cornwall Youth

The Cornwall Youth Band will be holding an open rehearsal later this month as they look to inspire a new generation of young players to join the organisation.

Time and place

The event will take place at 2.00pm on Saturday 26th March at Truro High School for Girls, where you can hear the current band in action under the baton of guest conductor Tom Davoren.

Families and players can have the chance to meet the excellent local tutors and conductors, as well as look around the school and accommodation where the band meets twice a year for their annual courses.

Auditions

Auditions for the band will be held at the same time for musicians who wish to try and gain for places for the 2016/2017 season which starts in September. The 2016 Christmas Course will be led by Ian Porthouse with the Paul Holland leading the 2017 Easter course.
