The jazz legend James Morrison will make a long overdue return to Scotland later this year in concert with Co-operative Funeralcare Band.

It has been announced that Jazz legend James Morrison will be returning to Scotland for the first time in 20 years, after the Co-operative Funeralcare Band secured the opportunity to perform in concert with 'The Wizard of Oz' in Perth later this year.

The event will feature the band alongside the remarkable multi-instrumentalist at Perth Concert Hall on Sunday November 20th.

Once in a generation

Band Chairman Chris Davies told 4BR: "This really is a once in a generation chance to hear one of the world's finest musicians in Scotland. It's hard to describe just what he does as a musician — but it's unbelievable.

To be able to play with him is a great coup for the band, and highlights our own determination to bring world class musical talent to Scotland to perform with us on a regular basis. This has already created such a buzz — so it's going to be a concert not to miss."

Top Gear

James' versatility is evident in the sheer diversity of his exploits — from the Olympic Games to Vienna's prestigious Musikverein — and even a stint presenting Top Gear Australia!

Special

The Co-operative Funeralcare Band will be conducted on the night by Allan Ramsay, who added: "James hasn't performed in Scotland for 20 years, so having the pleasure of his company will feel all the more special for the band and audience alike."

Tickets for the concert are already available from the box office at Perth Concert Hall for £22 or £18 for concessions.
