4BR Editor Iwan Fox got an answer he certainly didn't expect when giving a workshop on modern media interview techniques at the Allan Withington Conducting Course in Leeuwarden this week.

He was coaching the delegates in how to answer any questions they may be faced with minutes after coming straight off a major contest stage- in the most positive manner possible.....

The make-believe scenario was set — with James MacCafferty from the Garda Band in Dublin playing the role of a Strabane Band MD fresh from the high octane atmosphere of the Royal Albert Hall stage......

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
