Premier

Artistic Director Dr Lee Harrelson told 4BR:"Since the Academy was formed in 2008 it has touched hundreds of lives and has become one of the premiere youth brass and percussion ensembles anywhere in the world."

Great futures

He added: "Performers in the Academy work closely, on a weekly basis, with members of Fountain City Brass Band, and each year you can find the Kansas and Missouri All-State Band and Orchestras filled with members of the Academy and many have chosen music as their field of study at the university level.

The Academy is open to students of all levels of ability and is a fun, challenging and inclusive atmosphere."
