Boobs aiming for more brass

The fantastic Boobs & Brass are aiming to break through the £200,000 fund raising barrier by the end of the year.

Boobs and Brass
The wonderful Boobs & Brass girls were working hard at Cheltenham recently.

The remarkable all female brass band, Boobs & Brass is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary with news that they continue to inspire interest and partner ensembles not just in the UK, but throughout the banding world — from Norway and Holland to Australia and New Zealand.

£200K target

The original Boobs & Brass have raised over £191,000 for various charities and breast cancer research in the past decade — from Brain Tumour Research, Alzheimers, Prostate Cancer UK, MacMillan, Kettering Hospital, British Legion and Help for Heroes to various bespoke local projects.

Amazing amount

Founders, Maggie and Jayne told 4BR: "We could not have achieved this amazing amount without the help of many individuals and groups from our wonderful brass band family — and of course all the loyal, committed girls and conductors who travel miles at their own expense to be part of this unique concept."

The band now has an additional three concerts planned before the end of the year in Kettering, Loughborough and Horsham with the specific aim of trying to break through the £200,000 barrier by the end of the year.
