Besses search for new MD begins

The resignation of Simon Cowen means that Besses o' th' Barn is looking for a new Musical Director.

The partnership saw Besses make a welcome return to the Royal Albert Hall.

Besses o' th' Barn is beginning the search for a new Musical Director following the resignation this week of Simon Cowen.

The principal trombone of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra took over the helm at the start of 2015 following a plea by its committee for fresh players to help rejuvenate one of the most famous names in the banding world.

The partnership stabilised, improved and then quickly became successful, winning a trio of regional events4BR

4BR understands that auditions and interviews are expected to be held during October and November.
