West of England announces Area judges

The panel of adjudicators that will need to be impressed at Torquay next year have been revealed.

  Who will end up tickling the judges fancy in Torquay like St Dennis last year?

The West of England Brass Band Association has announced the panel of adjudicators who will have to be impressed by the competing bands (such as First Section winner St Dennis above) at Torquay next year if they are to qualify for the National Finals in Cheltenham and London.

The Championships will take place at the Riviera International Conference Centre on the weekend of 11th & 12th March.

Format

WEBBA Secretary Sue Oldfield told 4BR: "For 2017, we are augmenting the adjudicating panel in view of the anticipated entry levels.

The format for weekend will be the Fourth, Second and First Sections taking place on the Saturday with the Third and Championship Sections the following day."

The Championships will take place at the Riviera International Conference Centre on the weekend of 11th & 12th March4BR

Saturday 11th March:


Fourth Section: Gary Davies & Sam Hairsine
Second Section: Paul Norley & Stephen Roberts
First Section: Les Neish & Paul Norley

Sunday 12th March:


Third Section: Sam Hairsine & Les Neish
Championship Section: Paul Norley & Stephen Roberts

All further details will be confirmed after the WEBBA meeting in January 2017.
