Sykes and Williams to lead free Low Brass workshop

Sterling Instruments clinicians Steve Sykes and Glyn Williams will be leading a Lower brass workshop in Warterbeach next month — and its free!

Sterling Musical Instrument clinicians Steve Sykes and Glyn Williams will be holding a Lower Brass Workshop Day on Saturday the 3rd of December with Waterbeach Band at The Sports Hall, Waterbeach Barracks, Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire.

Both Steve and Glyn will be working with baritone, euphonium and tuba players, giving expert advice on all aspects of brass playing. There will also be an opportunity to play through some band and small ensemble repertoire.

Superb free tuition

Sterling Instruments MD Paul Riggett told 4BR: "This is a fantastic opportunity for players in the area to gain superb tuition from two of the finest exponents in the banding world — and all free of charge!"

Andrew Kershaw of Waterbeach Band added: "We are really excited and would like to thank Paul Riggett for his support. There will also be an array of Sterling Virtuoso Instruments which we are all looking forward to 'test driving' on the day."

August 18 • Putney and Wimbledon Band are looking for a percussionist, ideally tune although the ability to play an anvil is an absolute must! We play exciting music with lots of percussion so there's plenty to keep you occupied.
