Cubbington Silver has announced several new signings as they look forward to life in the Third Section in 2017.

Signings

The multi-talented Alan Wheelhouse has joined on Eb Bass, although he has also covered on trombone and conducted the band on occasions since signing up, whilst daughter Emily joins the percussion team.

Beth Funnel fills the vacancy on second cornet, whilst Chris Hall becomes the band's new principal cornet, having previously played Kibworth and Virtuosi GUS. Chris is also joined by his girlfriend Annie Marsden Allen on solo cornet.

However, we are excited to welcome Chris Hall as our new principal cornet and with all the new signings our immediate future in the Third Section looks to be both very exciting and brightMusical Director Mark Phillips

Thanks

Musical Director Mark Phillips told 4BR: "The band would like to thank outgoing principal cornet, Richard Stamp for his many years sterling service and wish him every success for the future.

However, we are excited to welcome Chris Hall as our new principal cornet and with all the new signings our immediate future in the Third Section looks to be both very exciting and bright."
