Generous legacy will recall long serving official

The generosity of the late Donald Palmer will enable brass band supporters to enjoy free tickets to a major concert next year in Norwich.

Obiuraries
The death has been announced of Donald Palmer — a stalwart of the East Anglian Brass Band Association.

4BR has been informed of the death of Donald Palmer, one of the longest serving officials of the East Anglian Brass Band Association. Donald had been involved with the Association for over 50 years.

Legacy

Donald kindly left a legacy to the East Anglian Brass Band Association and at their recent meeting the Trustees decided that they would use it to offer member bands the opportunity of free tickets for the concert to be given by Brighouse & Rastrick Band in St Andrew's Hall, Norwich on Sunday 7th May 2017.

Bands in membership at 31st of this year will be sent details of the tickets, the numbers available and how to apply.

Generous

Association Treasurer Stephen Wade told 4BR: "Donald was a dedicated trustee and his legacy to the Association was extremely generous.

He loved the annual concerts and the trustees felt that the offer of free tickets to member bands was a fitting way to use the legacy and to remember him."
