A group of musicians local to Haverhill area recently got together to celebrate a milestone in their musical activities.

During their get together it also became evident that a number of players associated with Haverhill Silver and other local bands actually in the area had started playing over half a century ago!

Special claim

Tuba player Robert Pannell (fourth from left) had a special claim to fame as he has always stayed with Haverhill Silver since joining in 1965 — a period which has seen them rise from the Fourth to Championship Section.

Robert was recently presented with a special award by the band.
