Roberts brings a taste of Rothwell to Norway

Dave Roberts will lead Orskog Brass in the Second Division of the Norwegian National Championships on the weekend with a little home grown talent helping out.

Rothwell Temperance MD, Dave Roberts will be taking to the stage of the Grieghallen in Bergen this weekend, as he leads Ã˜rskog Brass in the Second Division of the Norwegian National Championships.

A King's Lie

David will conduct the band in their own-choice performance of 'A King's Lie' by Belgian composer Stan Nieuwenhuis, who has expressed his delight that the partnership will be performing his work — one that has already been used extensively across the banding world.

Yorkshire help

To help fill some absences in the cornet section due to maternity leave, David will also be joined by Rothwell Temperance repiano cornet player Liam Boyd and soprano star Jonathan Hammond.
