The Yamaha 'Off to a Great Start' programme is set to benefit school bands in Australia

Yamaha Music Australia is choosing one school in 2017 that needs a helping hand in getting a band programme off the ground by providing them with a school-changing giveaway and launch concert with Yamaha artist Guy Sebastian.

Great Start

After the appointment of Dr Rob McWilliams as Yamaha's 'Education Outreach Clinician' in 2016 the giveaway is the next step in their education advocacy program 'Off to a Great Start', which includes resources for music programmes in schools such as training, recruitment videos, product guides and relationship building with instrument retailers.

"Yamaha Music Australia is committed to increasing the quality of, and participation in music education, specifically in band and orchestral music programs,"said Mat Taylor, Yamaha Band and Orchestral Product Manager.
