West of England challengers to showcase Torquay prep

  Woodfalls, Downton and Camborne will be showcasing their test-pieces tonight and tomorrow — so why not go along.

The neighbouring villages of Woodfalls and Downton come together tonight (Wednesday 8th March) for an open rehearsal that will feature their set-works ahead of the West of England Area contest in Torquay on the weekend.

Woodfalls will be conducted by Dr Robert Childs on Herbert Howells' iconic 'Pageantry', whilst Downton led by Paul Williams will showcase Dean Goffin's equally seminal work, 'Rhapsody in Brass'.

The free open rehearsal is being held at Burgate School, Fordinbridge, (SP6 1EZ), with the doors opening at 7.00pm.

Camborne

Meanwhile, Cornish challengers Camborne will be holding their free open rehearsal at Camborne Wesley Church on Thursday 9th March, starting at 8.00pm under guest conductor Michael Fowles.
