Conductor David Hirst will be working with Wantage Silver Band over the next two weeks, putting the finishing touches to Peter Graham's 'The Torchbearer' ahead of their appearance at the All England Masters Contest in Kettering on Sunday 28th May.

Summer concerts

The band started working with David on Sunday and is looking forward to the event, whilst following their appearance they will be linking up with conductor Paul Holland for a series of summer concerts.

New signings

Meanwhile the band will take to the stage with a number of new signings.

Becky Maglone joins on 2nd trombone after her relocation to Oxfordshire, whilst the experienced Jemma Evans moves from cornet to the solo horn seat, with Jordan Logan joining on second euphonium and Gary Wilkinson returning on cornet.
