Brighouse gets ready for Lion hunt

The 18th Brighouse Lions & District Festival of Brass takes place in the famous Yorkshire banding town in July — so don't miss it!

The weekend of 1st & 2nd July will see the famous Yorkshire brass banding town of Brighouse host its 18th Brighouse Lions & District Festival of Brass.

Free concert

Saturday evening will see a free concert held at the Central Methodist Church featuring Wardle Anderson Brass led by MD Sean Conway. Tickets for the event are now available from Kirklees Music.

Contest

The following day from 1.00pm the famous Hymn Tune & March Contest will take place in Thornton Square where 24 bands from Youth to Championship Section will take part, including defending champions and London finalists, Wingates.
