"It's been great,"he said. "Hebden is such a hard-working band and great fun to be around. I look forward to doing my bit to further their profile and building a culture that has exciting concert and contest performances at its core."

Transfers

Meanwhile, on the transfer front, Jack Holmes joins on bass trombone from Hebden Bridge Juniors along with Jack Dowling and Max Creese on third cornet.

John Dowling and Kimberley Harrison have also joined the cornet section with Janice Davison taking on the vacant flugel horn role. Lily Morgan comes in on first horn with Mike Harrison completing the line-up on second baritone.

It's refreshing to have someone with David's knowledge and enthusiasm stood in front of the band, and his positive approach is definitely reaping rewards. These are great times for the bandHebden Bridge Band
