Yorkshire Imperial DUT has announced a trio of new signings

The Yorkshire Imperial Urquart Travel Band has announced the signings of Kate Johnson, Adam Hofland Ward and Andi Cook on repiano, solo cornet and tuba respectively, as they continue to build towards the 2018 season.

Playing talent

Kate joins from Thoresby where she enjoyed fourteen years on cornet and more latterly as a highly respected flugel player, whilst 15 year old Adam will also continue to play with European Youth champions, Elland Silver Youth Band.

He recently successfully auditioned to become a member of the National Youth Band of Great Britain.

Experience

Meanwhile the experienced Andi Cook comes from Drighlington, after enjoying successful tenures at the likes of Wakefield Metropolitan, Hebden Bridge and Hammonds Saltaire.

Andi is also a keen writer and arranger and has worked on several notable projects, including those for principal players of Grimethorpe Colliery Band and James Shepherd Versatile Brass.

We are delighted to welcome these talented players as we prepare for an exciting programme of contest, concerts and CD recordings in 2018. They will find it will be a very exciting time to be part of Yorkshire ImpsSpokesperson
