There is a change in the adjudication team for the Brass in Concert Championship.

The Brass in Concert Championships has confirmed a change in the adjudication team for the contest which takes place on Sunday 19th November.

The renowned principal French horn player of the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Peter Francomb, will replace Richard Martin, who has recently been in hospital, as one of the two entertainment judges alongside Richard Evans.

Experience

A former guest principal horn with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, he has also worked with the famous Nash and Prometheus Ensembles, and since 1985 has been a member of the Albion Ensemble.

In 1988 he was invited to become the principal horn of Royal Northern Sinfonia and next year celebrates 30 years in the role.

World class musician

Brass in Concert Chairman, John Woods told 4BR: "We are grateful to Peter for stepping in at short notice and send Richard our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Peter is a world class musician with huge musical experience, and we are delighted to welcome him to our adjudication team."
