Following the news that the Boobs & Brass charity band would be making its last raft of concert appearances in 2018, they have been inundated with enquires by fans and supporters about how they can get tickets for the events.

Founders Maggie and Jane told 4BR that tickets for their concert as guests of National Champions Brighouse & Rastrick on 24th March are already in demand with Huddersfield Town Hall expected to be bursting at the seams on the night.

Fourth time

It will be the fourth time the famous purple and pink jackets will have been seen together on stage, following a hugely successful event in 2008, with the two girls as excited as ever to be teaming up with the West Riding Band.

"That first concert all came about after a chance meeting with some of the Brighouse lads when the topic of prostate cancer came up in the conversation,"Maggie recalled with a smile. "The seriousness of the illness also had a funny side to it as we came up with an initial idea of 'Balls & Brass', and after that everything fell into place so to speak!"

Special relationship

That event was the start of a very special relationship between the two bands — and it will continue in the concert next year.

Maggie added: "We are more than grateful for this last chance to perform with Brighouse before we hang up those pink jackets.

So on 24th March we will excitedly travel to say goodbye to Yorkshire — and we are sure again it will be absolutely wonderful."
