This year's popular Holme Valley contest will take place on Sunday 29th April at Holmfirth Civic Hall. There will be four sections of competition, with the closing date for entries Monday 19th March.

Bands must perform an own- choice test-piece plus three verses from a hymn from the famous 'Red Hymn Books' .

Generous prize fund

With a generous prize fund (with the top section winners taking away £500, B Section victors £400 and C Section champion £300) and a number podium and individual awards, it should be a great day of competitive action
