The funeral details have been announced for the former Cory Band principal cornet player Ian Williams.

Details have been released of the forthcoming funeral of former Cory Band principal cornet player Ian Williams.

Finest

Regarded as one of the finest Welsh brass musicians, he passed away earlier this month aged just 52.

His death shook the brass banding world. He was regarded with great respect and affection both as a remarkable player and fine, humble bandsman and family man.

Time and date

The funeral will be held at Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff (CF5 2LA) on Wednesday 21st March at 3.00pm.
