With his worldwide reputation as both a performer and educationalist backed by a professorship PhD in performance psychology and physiology, the Besson artist is regarded as one of the leading brass musicians of his generation.

Proud

On his appointment the charity stated: "Professor Webster is constantly conducting research in the area of psychotherapy, with special relevance to the needs of musicians.

He has also been acclaimed by reviewers and audiences worldwide as one of the world's greatest ever exponents of both trumpet and cornet playing. We are proud to announce that he is joining our team of acclaimed ambassadors."

Passion

In response Roger told 4BR: "Apart for performing, my passion is the development of our next generation of performers — not just those wishing to be professionals, but anyone with a love of music.

I'm delighted to be able to work so closely with a charitable organisation whose aims and objectives I so clearly share."
