Fernie to lead youth workshop

The celebrated Scottish composer and arranger will be leading a great youth workshop day in County Durham next month — and you can be a part of it.

The celebrated Scottish composer and arranger Alan Fernie will be heading south to Blackhall in County Durham next month to lead a youth workshop with youngsters from across the area.

Brilliant arrangements

The event on Sunday May 6th, organised by Blackhall Youth Band, will also involve some of Alan's brilliant arrangements for young musicians as well as music by North East composers Lee Morris, Steve Robson and Gary Young.

All youngsters involved will have the opportunity to play in a concert in Blackhall Community Centre on Friday 11th May which will also feature North Skelton Band.
