The 2019 BrassFest competition is now looking for entries

BrassFestUK has announced that their 2019 Composition Contest is now open for entries.

The 2018 competition was won by Max Stannard with his work 'Into the Future' which was published by Pennine Music, and subsequently recorded by Cory Band and performed by many of the 200 bands that took part in the 2018 BrassFestUK weekend.

BrassFestUK organiser Rob Tompkins told 4BR: "I'm very grateful to the judging panel of Gavin Somerset, Philip Harper and Christopher Bond for agreeing to sit again this year.

Having three high-profile figures on the panel is a real boost to the BrassFestUK project. We are hoping that the 2019 winner will follow the success of 2017 and 2018 winners from Gavin Somerset and Max."

Closing date

The closing date for entries is 24th February 2019.
