A4 Brass Quartet gain latest ambassadorial accolade

The critically acclaimed quartet of brass band musicians become Honorary Associate Artists of the Royal Northern College of Music.

  The A4 Brass Quartet has become Honorary Associate Artists of the College.

The Royal Northern College of Music has announced that the A4 Brass Quartet have become Honorary Associate Artists of the College.

They join a list of 11 other critically acclaimed performers in the prestigious ambassadorial role due to their outstanding achievements after graduation and will play an active role in promoting and supporting the RNCM's strategic initiatives over the next five years.

Acclaim

Formed at the RNCM in 2013, and comprising members Jamie Smith, Jonathan Bates, Michael Cavanagh and Chris Robertson, they have gained worldwide acclaim for their performances and recordings.

They have also won a number of high profile events, including the 2018 Royal Over-Seas League Chamber Music Competition. In June 2018 they completed the prestigious International Artist Diploma in Chamber Music course at the RNCM as John Fewkes Scholars.
