Coalburn teams up for free workshop

Coalburn Band has linked up with tuba and percussion stars Harry Cunningham and Paul Judge for a free masterclass day.

Coalburn
The Coalburn Band masterclasses have inspired lots of young players (and many more) over the past few years.

The Coalburn Band is to team up with South Lanarkshire Council Instrumental Services for an afternoon of workshops led by tuba artist Harry Cunningham and percussionist Paul Judge.

Free

The free event is open all players and will take place on the afternoon of Sunday the 27th January at Woodpark Primary School in Lesmahagow.

Harry is a RNCM graduate who recently performed with Black Dyke Band, whilst Paul studied percussion at Leeds College of Music and St Andrews University, and is the percussion tutor with the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland.

Passion

Band President, Alan Court told 4BR: "We're delighted to be hosting another afternoon of workshops in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council's Instrumental Services.

Harry and Paul are two exceptional playing talents with a passion for passing on their experience to a new generation of players regardless of their experience.''

The event is open to anyone with an interest in brass or percussion, particularly beginners.
