Composer offers march help for Kinneil fund raising

Composer Paul Drury has offered a great musical way to help the fund raising efforts of Kinneil Colliery Band following their terrible fire.

Paul Drury has offered a great way to support Unison Kinneil Band following the fire

Following the dreadful news surrounding the fire at Unison Kinneil's rehearsal headquarters, Scottish composer Paul Drury will be helping their fund raising efforts by offering his march 'Kinneil Colliery' in return for a donation to the band.

'Kinneil Colliery' is the band's well known signature march, featuring at concerts and contests over the past decade or more.

Community band

Paul told 4BR: "Kinneil Band is a huge part of my life. I spent many years there as a player, conductor and composer in residence and the band is very dear to my heart. My wife still plays with the band, as do many of my closest friends.

And as someone who lives in Bo'ness, I know exactly how much the band is at the heart of everything that is good in the local community. I feel compelled to do something to help."
