Hood to make Kirky return for Cheltenham

The Swiss based Jamie Hood will return to Scotland next week to once again link up with the Kirkintilloch Band for their National Final challenge.

After helping Kirkintilloch Band to victory at this year's First Section Scottish Championship, cornet player Jamie Hood will return to Scotland from his home in Switzerland to help the band try and claim the National title at Cheltenham next weekend.

Wonderful time

Jamie will take to the soprano cornet chair for the contest and told 4BR. "I has such a wonderful time with the band that I was delighted to be asked to help them again at the National Final.

It wouldn't have bothered me if they wanted me to play triangle let alone soprano cornet as they are such a great bunch of people — so hopefully I can do my bit to help them take the title back to Scotland."
