Wonderful endorsement for youth in Hounslow

A great decision sees Hounslow Music Service invest in their pioneering youth players.

The band made its debut at the National Youth Championships earlier this year.

Following their successful debut appearance at the National Youth Championships earlier this year, Hounslow Music Service has made the decision to continue support of the Hounslow Junior Brass Band.

Wonderful endorsement

Alan Goodall, Deputy Head of Service for Hounslow Music Service told 4BR: "In a nutshell, this is a wonderful endorsement following the great success of the band at the Championships.

Hounslow Music Service has now made the decision to run the band as part of our progressive ensemble structure. Membership is now at approximately 30 students and we are expecting to increase numbers considerably by Christmas."

Excited

He added: "The band has in the past performed as part of Hounslow Music Service's Celebratory Concerts, but the young musicians are very excited by their next performance, which will take place on 14th October at the newly reopened Fairfield Halls."

The band will be performing along with other young musicians from the boroughs of Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.
