The final leg of the 2019 Welsh League series heads to Penarth later this month with the destination of the annual titles up for grabs.

Hosted by the South East Wales Brass Band Association and organised by Kapitol Promotions Ltd who are based in the town, the 'Autumn Festival' takes place on Saturday 23rd November at Stanwell School (CF64 2XL).

Excellent entry

There is an excellent entry of 29 bands across the six sections on the day, with a number of bands in with a chance of claiming titles and the honour of being crowned 2019 Welsh League Champion.

The impressive 425-seater Concert Hall will host Sections 4, 3, 2 and the combined Championship /Section 1 events, where each band will perform their 18-minute 'concert' programmes. All sections except Youth will have closed adjudication, with Christopher Bond (4 & 3) and David Hirst (2 & Championship/1) having been tasked to separate the bands.

Youth feature

The school's impressive Study Space will play host to the Youth Section during the day, where five exciting youth ensembles will each perform a 15-minute entertainment programme to experienced adjudicator Nigel Seaman.

There will be plenty of hot and cold refreshments available throughout the day. Tickets are £7.00 each, available on the day at the Ticket Desk. Exhibitors from Pencerdd Music and Mr Tuba will be present at the event too.
