  The experienced Trevor Jones takes over the helm at Kidlington

Kidlington Concert Band has announced the appointment of the experienced Trevor Jones as their new Musical Director.

A graduate of Birmingham University, an Associate of the Royal College of Music and a Fellow of Trinity College, London he has gained widespread musical experience over many years, both as an educator as Head of Music Services across the West Midlands and as a conductor with the likes of Phoenix Brass, Sovereign Brass and Brass Band Panta Rhei in Belgium.

Thrilled

Trevor told 4BR: "I'm thrilled to take on the role and looking forward to developing the band as a versatile ensemble, exploring music across the brass band repertoire and beyond."

He added: "I look forward to providing the band with many enjoyable musical experiences on the contest and concert platforms as I'm sure we can create something very special that has an impact here in Oxfordshire and beyond."
