The details of the funeral of the much respected euphonium player Paul Walton have been announced.

4BR has been informed that the funeral of the much respected euphonium player Paul Walton is to take place on Thursday 23rd January.

In an announcement made on the family Facebook page, his wife Nicky said: "We are all so touched by your wonderful tributes to Paul. At such a sad time it has been a comfort to know that he was surrounded by so much love.

He was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother, who will be missed dearly. His humour, warmth and enthusiasm will remain with us forever."

Funeral details

The funeral will be on Thursday 23rd January at 12.30pm at St Bartholomew's Church in Wilmslow. There will be refreshments afterwards.

The family hoped that as many former friends and colleagues would attend to pay their respects.
