The band welcomes five new signings

Sovereign Brass has announced the signing of five new players as they look ahead to their assault on the Midlands Regional Championship title in Bedworth in March.

The cornet trio of Claire Cooke, Rachael Bevan and Katie Finch are joined by soprano, Emma Lock and horn player Claire Ratcliffe.

Signings

Claire hails from Cricklade and has recently been a member of the Shirley Band, whilst Rachael joins from Amington.

Katie and Emma both began playing within Sandwell Music Service and have returned to playing following career breaks. The vastly experienced Claire was a long serving member of BT Band and joins from Shirley Band.

Great asset

Operations Manager Steve Parsons told 4BR: "All five players are a great asset to the Sovereign Band family and we wish them a happy and fruitful time with us."

Meanwhile, principal cornet Rebekah Lock added: "I'm delighted to have such a wealth of experience in our team which comes at an exciting time for the band."
