The organisers of the British Open Spring Festival Championships have informed 4BR that they are currently in the process of seeking official advice and appropriate information about the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, and how it is likely to impact on the hosting of the event.
The 100th Spring Festival is currently scheduled to take place at Blackpool's Winter Gardens on Saturday 9th May.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We have been informed that official guidance in respect to the hosting of future cultural events such as the Spring Festival is under continuous review.
We are now in direct contact with those official sources to enable us to be kept up to date with the very latest developments, advice and guidance. We will advise bands directly of any decision made as soon as possible."
