One of the most eagerly awaited brass band concerts of the year has fallen victim of the current Coronavirus pandemic

Brighouse & Rastrick's massed band concert with Black Dyke was to have taken place at Huddersfield Town Hall on 28th March — but has now been out back a year to take place in March 2021.

Disappointed

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Whilst we are bitterly disappointed that this fantastic concert will now not be able to go ahead as planned, we are grateful to Black Dyke for helping promptly secure the new date for 2021, with no earlier date being possible."

4BR was informed that Kirklees Council will provide the option for existing ticket holders to transfer their tickets to the new event or receive a full refund.

Further details of how to do this will be announced as soon as possible, with B&R Patrons contacted personally in due course.
