4BR has been informed that due to the current Coronavirus pandemic that the popular Bailey Lane Music Festival has been cancelled.

The event was due to have taken place on 27th June and attracted 40 entries last year.

Duty of care

A spokesperson told 4BR: "After careful consideration of all current government advice and guidelines we feel we have a duty of care towards every young person and their families that would have been taking part in the event.

Therefore it is with great sadness that we have had to take the decision to cancel this year's 51st Bailey Lane End Music Festival."

They added: "We would like to thank the bands and their trainers for the countless hours they put in teaching and schooling the next generation of bandsman and hope to welcome them back next year."
