No need to be Brassed Off next week...

The iconic brass band film will be screened on Film4 to compensate for Grimethorpe's Albert Hall appearance being cancelled.

Brassed
The famous story of the Grimley Colliery Band will hit our screens once more...

Fans of the iconic British film 'Brassed Off!' will next week be able to relive the memories of Grimley Colliery Band's famous National Championship victory.

Stars

The 1996 bittersweet comedy drama, written and directed by Mark Herman, stars Pete Postlethwaite as Danny, the devoted leader of the band who is determined to rally against the forces of the National Coal Board and the government of Mrs Thatcher after news is leaked that their pit is earmarked for closure.

The cast also includes Ewan McGregor, Stephen Tompkinson and Tara Fitzgerald as well as quite a few familiar brass band faces in the extras department...

On Film4

There was to be a planned 'Brassed Off Live event' on Wednesday 15th April at the Royal Albert Hall, but due to the Coronavirus it was cancelled.

However, the organisers have linked up with Channel 4 on Film4 who will now broadcast the film on the same date at 9.00pm (Sky channel 313) alongside some exclusive 'Brassed Off! content.
