Waiting for Gregson...

Even Edward Gregson fans Vladimir and Estragon finally got what they were waiting for this week with a brace of high profile performances of his works...

Gregson
Two of Edward Gregson's major works wee featured in performance this past week

Unlike the main characters in Samuel Beckett's 'Waiting for Godot', not one but two performances of major works by Edward Gregson arrived this week after something of wait…

Broadcasts

First of all there was a virtual broadcast of his 'Euphonium Concerto' on June 15th performed by David Childs for the International Euphonium Tuba Festival, followed by a welcome reprise of his Oboe Concerto, 'A Vision in a Dream' on BBC Radio 3 this week, performed by Jennifer Galloway and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Ben Gernon.

Enjoy

You can enjoy David Childs (at around 17.40 minutes) alongside his long time associate and accompanist Chris Williams at:
