Closing date looms for BBE annual awards nominations

If you want to nominate people or organisations for the positive role they have played for the banding movement then you need to do it quickly.

  The awards are presented by Brass Bands England

Brass Bands England has announced the closing date for nominations for its 2020 Brass Band Conference Awards.

Nominations

Nominations need to be submitted for the Innovation, Lifetime Achievement and Social Impact Awards by Friday 14th August.

Innovation Award:


BBE is looking for people or organisations that are setting a new trail for brass bands. BBE wants to hear if you know someone who has done something innovative to make your band better, or perhaps an organisation you think is really leading the way.

Lifetime Achievement Award:


BBE is looking for people or organisations who have really made a difference to their local community or carried out wider charitable endeavours.

Social Impact Award:


BBE is looking for people who have made an outstanding contribution to banding whether musically or in organisation. BBE wants to hear about the people that have shaped your banding experience for the better.

Brian W Hicks Memorial Shield for Services to Youth:


The winner will have made a huge impact on youth in the banding sector as demonstrated through their own personal commitment and dedication.

The award winners will be announced at the Brass Bands Conference, presented by Brass Bands England on Saturday 19th September on zoom.

March 13 • Cornet and bass players required. We are a fun and relaxed non contesting band and are looking to swell our numbers. Players of any instrument will be very warmly welcomed, but we would really love some more cornets and basses (instruments available).
