A special programme will be broadcast on Saturday night that looks back at how the 2019 British Open Championship was won — complete with full top three podium performances

There is a second British Open Championship programme treat for all brass band fans this weekend.

On Saturday evening (12th September 7.00pm BST) 4BR and World of Brass will be looking back at the 2019 Championship and recalling how the title was won and lost on Peter Graham's set-work, 'Dynasty'.

Top three performances in full

4BR Editor Iwan Fox was joined by Steven Mead at Symphony Hall this week to recall the day — complete with the full performances of 'Dynasty' from all three podium finishers Cory, Black Dyke and Foden's, as well as snippet highlights from each of the contenders.

It's been made possible thanks to Besson Brass and Town Hall and Symphony Hall — so why not put your feet up and reach for a glass of something smooth and refreshing as we look back at a memorable contest day and the enjoy the battle to become the 167th British Open Champion.

Friday night Gala Concert

All this and there is of course the great aperitif later tonight (Friday 11th September at 7.00pm) you can enjoy a great 45 minutes or so of music making from Black Dyke, Cory., Mnozil Brass and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Brass Band at a special Virtual Brass Gala Concert.
