Brass Bands England has announced that it has extended its nomination period for it prestigious BBE Annual Awards.

Nobody misses out

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We have had a great response already and wish to ensure that nobody misses out to nominate the people who make our brass banding movement great.

So if you know someone who has been an inspiration to young people, or led imaginative projects, collaborations and community band events, or if your band has carried out a successful project that deserves recognition, then nominate them as soon as possible."

The nomination closing date is now midnight on 29th May.

Categories

The categories are as follows:

Band Project of the Year Award (new award)
Social Impact Award
Innovation Award
Outstanding Contribution Award (over 18s and 18 and under)
Brian W Hicks Memorial Shield for Services to Youth
Lifetime Achievement Award
New Band Project of the Year Award
(For this category, finalists will go to a public vote, providing the banding community and its audiences with a chance to select their favourite project)
