ISM look to empower musicians

The Independent Society of Musicians will be hosting a special empowerment day to help musicians meet the challenges facing them.

The event is being held on Friday 21st April

The Independent Society of Musicians will be hosting 'The Empowered Musician 2023' in London on Friday 21st April.

To be held at Princess Alexandra Hall at Six Park Place, it will be a full day of music performances, discussions, interviews and networking, with the aim at looking at the current challenges facing the music sector and how they can be overcome to secure its future.

Panel discussions

Panel discussions will come from industry experts such as Chartered Psychologist Greg Daubney and composer Robert Laidlaw speaking on panels about 'Resilience' and 'New Horizons', whilst composer Debbie Wiseman will give a major interview.

There will be the opportunity to learn about opportunities from emerging technologies (AI, NFTs, 5G), and discover tools to improve mental, physical and financial wellbeing.

Live performances will be provided by London Sinfonietta and award-winning folk fusion band Kabantu.
