Black Dyke open up ahead of Malmo

Black Dyke Band is to showcase its European Championship title seeking preparations ahead of its trip to Malmo.

Under Director of Music Prof. Nicholas Childs they will showcase their preparations on the newly commissioned set test piece 'Aurora' by Joel Thoor Engstrom as well as their own choice selection.

Time and place

The English representative and Yorkshire Champion will open its doors to Pondashers and brass band supporters at Morley Town Hall on Tuesday 2nd May, with a prompt 8.00pm start.

The band is making its first appearance at the event since 2016 and will be looking to claim a record 14th victory and what will be their 24th appearance. Under the baton of Prof Nicholas Childs the band won in 2005, 2012 and 2015.

Admission is free and doors open at 7.30pm.
