The contest takes place at Tonyrefail Community School

The domestic Welsh contesting season continues in Tonyrefail on Saturday May 20th with the South East Wales Brass Band Association Spring Festival.

Supported and organised by Kapitol Promotions, it takes place at Tonyrefail Community School, in Tonyrefail, Porth (CF39 8HG) with the own-choice contest day kicking off at 10.00am with a combined Third & Fourth Section.

It will be followed a combined First & Second Section contest. The adjudicator for the day is Dr Robert Childs.

Tonyrefail Community School was completed within the last few years and offers ample free car and coach parking, catering facilities and a hi-tech 250-seater auditorium. There are also excellent changing facilities.

Exciting potential

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The school does offer exciting potential to further enhance a contest that provides an essential contesting foundation stone for banding in South Wales and beyond.
