Fresh from its fine third-place finish in the Challenge Section of the recent European Brass Band Championships in Malmo, Laganvale (Metal Technology) Band is keeping its Swedish connection going.

Brass in Partnership

The Northern Irish band under conductor Keith Anderson is to join forces with Asenhoga Brass Band in their 'Brass in Partnership' concert on Saturday 20th May.

The concert forms part of a mini-UK tour for the Swedes and their conductor, Olof Forsberg, which culminates in competing at the Whit Friday marches contest.

Long time coming

A spokesperson told 4BR: This has been a long time coming as the link was planned for May 2020 but had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions. Now, after enjoying such a memorable trip to Sweden wea re looking forward to welcoming our new friends at last."

They will present varied programmes, which will also feature a number of soloists, in the beautiful setting of St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Rosetta Road, Belfast (7.30pm).
