The UniBrass Foundation has announced its line-up of tutors from the brass band, orchestral and the West End worlds that will lead its third annual Band Camp this summer.

Debutant Chris Augustine brings his experience as a West End musician to work with the trombone students, whilst Grimethorpe Colliery's Helen Varley who will tutor the flugel and tenor horns.

Familiar faces also returning are Cory's Steve Jones to lead the percussion, and inspirational educator Helen Minshall to tutor the basses.

Enthusiastic

Speaking about the course, Helen Varley said: "I think the whole concept of UniBrass and Band Camp is fantastic. The energy of the UniBrass competitions is so enthusiastic, and I can't wait to see how that will transfer into a summer school environment."

David Thornton returns as the course Musical Director, to shape the musical progress and direct the National Universities Band in concerts and informal performances across Sheffield and Yorkshire. He will also lead the euphonium and baritone sections.
