Allegro Optical launches At Home Service

The pioneering work of the Musicians' Opticians sees them bring their service right home to help performers continue to enjoy their love of music making.

The service will enable the person to be visited home by an optical professional

Allegro Optical, 'The Musicians' Optician' which has gained widespread award-winning acclaim for its work, has been featured in the latest issue of the Macular Society's 'Sideview' magazine.

The article highlighted the company's approach, understanding and commitment to working with people who suffer with macular problems which can lead to degeneration of the eye's retina.

Following the article Allegro Optical received numerous telephone and e-mail contacts, many from musicians who wanted to find out more and to ask for their expert help.

At Home Service

Managing Director Sheryl Doe told 4BR: "We received numerous calls, especially from the south of England and Scotland. Many of these stories were heartbreaking, with musicians sharing their struggles with vision loss and its impact on their performances."

As a result, Allegro Optical has initiated a brand new 'At Home' service, with Sheryl adding: "We recognised the urgent need to revamp the accessibility of our service to customers.

Our new Performing Arts Vision Care will ensure that musicians who are experiencing vision problems no longer need to make an arduous journey to come to us. We now come to them at home.

Our optical professional understands the unique visual challenges faced by musicians and performers and seeing them at home will enable us to gain quicker access to our specialised eyecare solutions."

Home visit

Sheryl concluded: "Musicians no longer need to endure poor vision, which hinders their passion or shortens their playing careers. Our BAPAM-registered practitioners provide tailored optical solutions that enhance visual performance and prolong musical journeys — and we can start be visiting you at home."
